About

Hi, I’m Dani – a wife and #boymom.
My husband of 8 years, Marcus, and I have lived in Omaha, NE for the past 8 years. I teach Special Education at Millard West High School, and Marcus is a Project Manager for Twin City Hardware in Omaha.

We have three beautiful boys: Easton, Esley, and Ellis.

Easton, our sensitive and empathetic soul, is 7 and is in 1st grade this year.

Esley, our little firecracker, is 3 years old and goes to Karen’s Daycare.

Ellis, our perfect angel baby, was born into Heaven on Sunday May 7, 2017.

Ellis is my reason for starting this blog. My intention is to provide a therapeutic process for myself through my writing, as well as create an understanding and awareness to others about child loss, grief, and stillbirth.

I hope you’ll join me in a “Mother’s Journey through Grief”

  1. Dani, you have a beautiful family. I am so lucky and blessed to be the auntie of your three wonderful boys, Easton, Esley, and Ellis! Ellis is so special to all of us, and since we cannot hold him in our arms anymore, we hold him in our hearts. He is a perfect baby, so pure and innocent, and he will always be remembered in our family. He is always a part of us and who we are. I love you and your family so much, and I am so proud of you and the strength you have. This tragedy is something that should never have to be faced by anyone, but I admire you for your courage, strength, and hope. One day at a time, sis. You’re doing great! You are a warrior mom, and an amazing one at that! I love you!
